The Topoguides promote approved hiking paths. Info

Hiking consists of walking along previously-marked routes. The footpaths created by the TOURMAC project members are signposted and marked in accordance with the European Ramblers Association’s (ERA) approved system. These routes are popularised through books and leaflets called “Topoguides”, and they bear a serial number for each particular type of footpath in a given territory: long-distance (GR), short-distance (PR) or local paths (SL). Final approval of the routes lies with the regional Mountaineering Federations, depending on the paths themselves, and on the legislation in force in the autonomous regions where such legislation exists.
