São Jorge Island is an immense watercolour painted with infinite shades of green: from the pale green of the fresh grass to the deep green of the bushes that grow on the cliffs, which descend steeply upon the sea. It is this predominance of green what constitutes the island's charm, inviting us to walk along São Jorge, which keeps its primitive beauty.

São Jorge has much more to offer to its visitors, such as the unusual "fajas" at the bottom of the high cliffs; the interesting examples of the sacred art from the Azores ; bedspreads with ancient designs, woven in manual looms; or the genuine taste of its famous cheese. The days you spend on São Jorge will remain forever in your mind.
